Grace River Island is a Quiet Family Friendly Vacation Home on the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers accessible via a land bridge. A perfect location for memorable family and friend vacations, honeymoons, or just some time away. We feature a large 6 bedroom 8 bath house that sleeps 20 people, a large bonus room, heated swimming pool, gazebo & dock. The perfect place to RELAX, REFRESH, & RECONNECT. Quiet hours 10pm-8am. We have security cameras.
The space
Grace River Island Resort is a QUIET, tropical island on the Caloosahatchee River accessible via a land bridge, giving the appearance of a peninsula. It is a perfect location for family vacations, honeymoons, or just a weekend away. When you stay at the island, you will have a large 6 bedroom 8 bath house with beds for 20 people, a large clubhouse, swimming pool, gazebo and large deck. We feature a dock for large and small boats in a protected bay directly on the Intracoastal Waterway (Maine to Texas). It is the perfect place to RELAX, REFRESH, and RECONNECT. Quiet hours are 10pm-8am and low sound volume during the day.
As you enter the gate to the property, the driveway lined with traveler and queen palms stretches ahead of you. As you continue up the drive, you will occasionally glimpse the river and more tropical flora, and soon you will see the 4700 square foot island house which has a 2000 square foot deck, a nice kitchen, a large living room, and a family room, and five bedrooms. The house has a sunken dining room with a large single dining table where the whole group can enjoy meals together. An air-conditioned sunroom overlooks both the river and the pool, making a great place to fellowship or play games. We have one 3-person and two 1-person kayaks so you can explore the river and many bird species. We have 4 fishing poles available and a bait shop close by. There are many salt water fish species that call our river home. You may even see dolphin, manatees, shark, and tarpon.
It is a delight to share our beautiful, quiet Island with you.
Guest access
Our property is gated and guests have access to the entire island including the house, pool, clubhouse, and all the outdoor areas.
Other things to note
Our island is in the middle of the river and has other properties all around it. Sound carries over the water so music must be kept at a minimum level during the day and STRICT QUIET HOURS are 10 pm to 8:00 am each night. This noise policy is strictly enforced and includes music, yelling, & raucous behavior.

Grace River island is a beautiful place
To put it simply - Grace River island is a beautiful place. We planned a long weekend for our wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The property is secluded and has the best views over the water. We had 16 people stay with us, but the house/property is so large that we never felt like we were on top of each other. The inside of this home is super clean and had so much of what we needed. There were plenty of paper towels, rolls of toilet paper, and TONS of bath and pool towels. The kitchen was stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, silverware, etc. There were plenty of places to relax both inside and outside. It is truly a perfect place for large groups to stay and relax! Our wedding took place on a Saturday and we had 57 guests (including us). We set up the clubhouse on the property due to a chance of a tropical storm. The clubhouse fit dinner tables, a bar, food tables, the DJ, and a dessert table. We were fortunate to be able to have our ceremony outside on the turf overlooking the water and then we were able to dance outside after dinner. We had an ice cream truck pull up right on the property as well! There was plenty of parking for all of our guests. The bridal suite was perfect to get ready in — 2 hair stylists and 2 makeup artists fit comfortably with 11 girls getting ready at the same time. The groomsman room/suite was great, too! Our wedding turned out to be absolutely beautiful and so much fun. Keep in mind, there are noise ordinances in the area and the DJ had to be finished by 9 pm. Because we booked through Airbnb, we didn’t originally receive a wedding contract that stated these quiet hours. We believed it was 10 pm, so we had to adjust the timeline of our wedding with about 2 weeks to go. If you book through Airbnb and are planning to do a wedding here, be sure to ask the owners for their wedding contract ASAP. Mike & Karen gave us a run down when we first arrived and they were available to answer any questions we had. They were very helpful with setting up on the day of our wedding, too. Grace River Island is a wonderful place and we will always cherish the memories we have from our visit!Justin
